Customers believe that the tiles are inferior in some way, or that there is an issue with the installation. More often than not, however, it\u2019s down to one small thing; a <strong>poor initial clean<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After a <strong>stone floor has been installed<\/strong>, it should <strong>always be cleaned thoroughly<\/strong>, using a quality <strong>pH-neutral detergent<\/strong> \u2013 like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.filasolutions.com\/eng\/products\/full-range\/cleaning-products\/detergents\/filacleaner\">FILACLEANER<\/a> &#8211; not just with a bucket of warm water! Once the floor is dry, the film of residue \u2013 or grout haze \u2013 will become visible. Then, when you seal the tiles, this residue will become sandwiched between the tile\u2019s surface and the sealant. As well as ruining the look of the installation, it will also store up problems for the future:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The sealant won\u2019t be able to absorb properly into the tile, so its performance will be compromised<\/strong>.<br \/>\nDirt will be built-up on the surface more quickly, making the problem even worse.<\/p>\n<p>To avoid these problems, always ensure that the floor is cleaned properly after installation.
