WET STONE ECO at a glance
Wet-look colour enhancement
WET STONE ECO is a specialised protective consolidant designed to enhance and protect natural stones with a rough finish. This water-based sealer is formulated to bring out the vivid colours and shine of natural stone surfaces while simultaneously providing protection against water damage and staining agents. Notably, it also functions as an effective anti-dust treatment, making regular maintenance easier.
Exceptional long-term protection
Unlike varnishes, this sealer will not yellow when used outdoors, ensuring that your stone surfaces maintain their natural appearance. The product works by creating a protection on stone materials with a rough finish. This product enhances the surface’s aesthetic qualities while repelling stains and dirt, resulting in continuous and long-lasting protection.
Deals with rough-finish materials
WET STONE ECO is suitable for use on various natural stone types and rough agglomerates, including split, tumbled, and flamed finishes. Its primary purpose is to enhance the colour and appearance of these surfaces while offering robust protection against the elements and is especially recommended for treating slate surfaces.
WET STONE ECO vs WET ECO
To clarify the distinction between WET ECO and WET STONE ECO, it’s essential to understand their intended uses and the results they achieve. WET STONE ECO is purposefully designed for treating unpolished natural stones and agglomerates, including those with finishes like tumbled or flamed surfaces. Its primary focus is on enhancing the colour of these stone types while providing protection and a wet effect, restoring their natural beauty and vibrancy.
On the other hand, WET ECO is a versatile product that can be applied to a range of surfaces, including terracotta and natural stone. However, when used on natural stone, it primarily produces a shine effect with some colour enhancement. While it offers a glossy finish, its emphasis on colour enhancement is slightly less pronounced compared to WET STONE ECO.

Testing and analysis
In order to assess the wet effect or the gloss level produced by WET STONE ECO, our R&D department used a gloss meter to measure the surface gloss of materials. The specific standard followed for this measurement is UNI EN ISO 2813:2016. The results found that treatment with WET STONE ECO can result in an increase in the level of gloss, with a potential enhancement of up to 40 Gloss Units. It is, however, important to note that the degree of gloss achieved can vary depending on the type of material being treated and the number of coats of the product applied. In other words, the final gloss level is influenced by both the material’s inherent properties and the application process itself.
