Casa Dusensky Vitale in Ostuni in the province of Brindisi, is a villa comprising a series of natural stone buildings dating back to the early 1900s, renovated and refurbished, to which a new part has been added, linked via underground corridors. The final effect is a splendid example of contemporary architecture that fits in beautifully with the traditional landscape of Valle d’Istria.
Carried out by our Master Treatment Specialist, Maurizio Donno together with Barnaba Agostino between August 2010 and December 2011, the project consisted of cleaning after laying and protective treatment of all three sections of the villa, using only eco-friendly water-based products, in accordance with the client’s wishes.
Let’s take a closer look at the work involved:
Indoor floors in white Carovigno stone and Tunisian Samarcanda limestone: washed with FILACLEANER and given a protective basecoat with FILAHP98 water-based water-repellent, followed by two coats of FILAW68 water-based stain protector and 2 coats of FILAMATT natural-effect finishing wax.
FILAHP98 and FILAW68 were also applied to wall coverings and bathroom tops in stone to ensure maximum water-repellence and protection from stains and dirt.
Whereas the outdoor wooden decking was thoroughly washed with FILANOALGAE that removed the algae and moss covering the entire surface.
The solarium/terrace in white manufactured stone was treated with DETERDEK concentrated acid detergent followed by FILAPS87 degreasing detergent. Treatment was completed with two coats of FILAHP98 water-repellent. Finally, to ensure perfect cleaning and disinfection of the pool area, just before handover, final general cleaning was carried out with FILASAN disinfecting detergent.
A perfect job well done by a professional who skilfully used the right products for each surface, respecting the materials and also the environment thanks to water-based eco-friendly protectors.
