Natural stone paving is ideal for application outdoors. Sometimes, atmospheric agents can lead to rust or sulphate stains. It’s important to know how to remove these stains, without damaging the surface.
To clean natural stone paving, Fila has developed DETERDEK PRO – a specialised descaling cleaning agent which is able to remove residual rust or sulphate stains from natural stone paving. (Deterdek Pro contains surfactants, so it can descale and clean.)
We do not recommend using DETERDEK PRO on polished marble or limestone surfaces.
DETERDEK PRO cleans without altering the stone’s appearance and it does not generate fumes which are harmful to people or the environment.
To remove rust stains, wet the area to be treated with water. Next, pour a little DETERDEK PRO onto a green scouring pad and gently rub the area. Then, rinse the treated surface thoroughly.

I recently used iron sulphate on my lawn but coming back across the terrace a lot of splotches have emerged as rust coloured marks on the stone terrace. Will your product get rid of them?

I have what appears to be rust stains on our outdoor limestone pavers. What’s strange is that it becomes brighter and lighter and then brighter again as the days pass. Does rust do that? The stain seems to be IN the stone not on it. Would this help draw the stains out? They are orange brownish and only appear in the covered areas of the patio.

Hi, we moved our garden furniture to have our natural sandstone paving.
The next day when the paving cleaner arrived there was rust powder on the paving and then when he cleaned the paving there appears to be a stain mark left.
Please can you advise if your product will remove the stain.

Hi LIna,
Regarding your request, we suggest you the product NORUST, a remover against rust stains specific for those stones that can be sensitive to acid detergents.
We remain at your disposal for any further information you may need.

I have the same problem as the comment above from Brian. Can you let me know what I can use?
An iron sulphate garden product has left rust coloured stains on my granite paving. It appears to be not just a surface stain but has been absorbed into the granite. I have tried several products to no effect. Will Detertek work? Thanks.
