After more than a year of cancelled events and months of lockdown, the UK is starting to open up slowly. As a leading supplier of care and maintenance products for fine surfaces, here’s our roundup of some of the big design shows for 2021.
Flooring Design Week
According to David Marquardt of MACH Architektur, ‘’the floor is the foundation of any design, in the end’’. The virtual Flooring Design Week features many professional insights from Ippolito Fleitz Group and David Chipperfield Architects – check out the video from Architonic here.
Clerkenwell Design Week – BSPOKE Surfaces
Clerkenwell Design Week may have been postponed until 2022, but that hasn’t stopped a small digital event from going ahead instead. BSPOKE Surfaces is a specially curated digital platform with the main aim of putting decision-makers in touch with influential surfaces brands. Visitors will have the opportunity to connect with the brands and also view everything from paints to wall cladding, flooring and more. The National Home Building and Renovating Show
One of the biggest home and interior shows in the UK; this is surely to be a hub of renovating knowledge. Get personalised advice on your project and discover new brands – visit Homebuilding Show for locations and dates.
ArchitEx
ArchitEx brings together designers, architects and specifiers to explore local opportunities and discuss the latest sustainable design trends. This year’s dates are yet to be released, but this 2-day event has already become a leading forum for the UK Architecture and Building Design Industry.
Design London
Running from the 22nd to the 25th of September, Design London will feature unrivalled content and a highly curated selection of some of the most prominent design brands.
Design Central Devon Show
After the success of their North West show, Design Central UK decided to bring the same vibrant event to the South West of England. Show dates are yet to be confirmed but you can expect to see the best brands in lighting, tiling and floors.
Grand Designs Live
Another big show, Grand Designs Live is based on the Channel 4 series with design guru Kevin McCloud. Running 6th – 10th October 2021, the event will be packed with over 500 exhibitors at ExCel in London.
Decorex International
Decorex is one of Europe’s leading events where designers and stylists connect with the latest high-end interiors and surfaces. With a programme of seminars on topics including bespoke flooring, the exhibitor list includes creatives behind the finest interior projects in the world.
London Build Show 2021
The UK’s leading design and build show is free to attend – recent speakers include Zaha Hadid Architects and Willmott Dixon Construction.
Sleep + Eat
Although no official dates have been released, Sleep + Eat is Europe’s favourite destination for all those involved in the global design and development of hotels. With key speakers from every stage of hospitality design, this event will be potentially held at the back end of 2021 in London.
